Product certification

When choosing an armoured door it is important to fully understand the quality and technical aspects in order to select the product which best suits your requirements.

Oikos doors are produced according to EU regulations and are provided with the CE marking for  “construction material” (European Directive 89/106CEE), with the performance features of the category “windows and doors” (EN 1435-1) and with high reference values. Moreover, they are burglar-proof certified in Class 3 and 4 according to the standards included in the product quality regulation UNI ENV 1627 for security doors and windows.

The Product Certification is a guarantee of the product’s compliance with current regulations and directives and also certifies that the materials used and the construction features are as reported.
From the outset, Oikos has always been highly attentive to product certification. In fact the first Burglar-proof and Noise Insulation trial tests were performed in 1992 and in 1994. Anti-burglar Oikos’ doors are certified by IFT, an External Certification Body based in Rosenheim, Germany, which monitors and tests the different production phases and the characteristics of the materials employed.
After undergoing rigorous tests on break-in resistance, Oikos doors have been classified in Class 3 and 4, according to the chart below.

CLASS 1: An amateur burglar tries to open the door using physical force, for example, pushing, barging, shoulder impact, lifting, pulling.

CLASS 2: An occasional burglar tries to force the door open using simple tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, bolt cutters.

CLASS 3: The burglar tries to get in using a screwdriver and a crow bar.

CLASSE 4: A professional burglar uses also saws, hammers, axes, chisels, knives and portable battery operated drills.
