Certified and sustainable. These are the characteristics of all internal and external security doors produced by Oikos. Oikos has an ever increasing concern for the environment and people and has always proved its high ethical principles by taking all the decisions that guarantee maximum respect for each stakeholder, being a supplier, a customer, local community or the local area and most of all its employees. Oikos products, therefore, are constantly revised under the lens of technological innovation to maintain constantly high quality standards. These are characterised by maintaining original shapes, aesthetic compatibility combined with fresh creativity of the interior design and a great attention to eco-sustainability and eco-compatibility. The compliance with EU regulations on outdoor doors is fundamental. The doors are also certified anti-burglar by the Institute Giordano in Bellaria (Rimini) in Class 3 and 4. All production phases are certified by the External Certification Body IFT, based in Rosenheim - Germany according to the standards included in product quality regulation UNI ENV 1627 for security doors and windows. Oikos has been obtained the voluntary certification UNI EN ISO 14001 pertaining environment protection, which guarantees compliance to all current legislation on emissions in the atmosphere, water discharge, noise emission, registered and controlled waste disposal, energy saving, optimisation of production cycles, reduction in the production of waste material. However, to further prove the highest respect for the environment, Oikos is proud to have been awarded the FSC marking by which it identifies the origin of wood utilised from forests, which are managed in a correct and responsible way, in line with the strictest codes of social, environmental and business standards. Additionally another equally important aspect is the choice of paints, which frequently comprise toxic synthetic solvent formulations. Similarly to what is set out by regulation EN 71-3 which regulates the “safety of toys” as regards the materials and colorants employed (no antimony, arsenic, barium, cadmium, chrome, lead, mercury, selenium…), Oikos uses water-based paints with a consequently great improvement to the working environment, remarkable reduction of the environmental impact on surrounding areas and an increased quality advantage of the product arriving for the market. In addition to the requirements of EN 71-3, by using water based paint Adler Oikos also complies with Catas Quality Award certification on paint performance requirements. Furthermore, Oikos has also the quality certification UNI EN ISO 9001, a voluntary certification which is derived from the international regulation ISO 9001 which certifies procedures and guarantees the company’s constant commitment to the improvement of the production process to the mutual advantage of the company, its customers and suppliers. As a norm, Oikos aims at identifying the requirements of each customer in order to offer a product which best fits his/her expectations in order to always reach client’s satisfaction; this is possible also because of an underlying technical and commercial support which is constantly and continuously improved. |
